Hi Everybody! Welcome! My name is Phoenix and today I’m going to be talking about the movie called, Ready Player One. So, overall I thought this movie was ok. I probably would have liked it more but I don’t play a lot of video games and this movie is all about video games.

So this movie takes place in the future and pretty much everybody lives inside of a video game and they can be whatever they want to be. But they all have to try to compete against each other so then they can find three keys and unlock an Easter Egg so then they can win the game.

So the main character in this movie, in real life, looks kind of nerdy with glasses and everything. But in the game world place, he looks like a really cool Japanese cartoon person. So in the video game world, the main character makes friends and they’re also really good at playing games in the video game world. So they think that together, they can find the three keys and unlock the Easter Egg.

One of the coolest part about this movie is that it references to other video games and other movies, including some movies that I’ve reviewed on my YouTube channel! I saw references like Back To the Future, Monty Python And The Holy Grail, Ninja Turtles, Iron Giant, Batman, Superman, and those are only the ones I can think of right now.

However, there was a lot of things that I did not like about this movie. Like, there was a couple of kissing parts, this movie had a little bit of bad language, and there was a really long scene that was really scary because they went to this haunted house and there was a bunch of ghosts, zombies, and then there was these two twins that were standing next to each other and they were like, “Come and play with us.” And then there was an elevator filled with blood. My dad said that movie was called The Shining and I’m not supposed to see it because it’s rated R.

So I thought this movie was okay. But my dad really liked it. And this is why I think my daddy liked this movie. I mean, look at all the video games he had growing up. I mean, these were all the games they were talking about in the movie. We’ve got Space Invaders, Donkey Kong, Battle Toads, Ninja Turtles, Batman, Mortal Kombat, and Golden Eye. So there are probably a lot more characters in these video games in that movie but I just probably have to watch that movie like 10 more times to see them.
